Passaic County Fair Draws Thousands and Continues to Support Local Parks and Programs

Passaic County, NJ – The 2025 Passaic County Fair welcomed more than 15,000 visitors over its four-day celebration. With 3,642 cars parked and 96 vendors and community organizations participating, this year’s Fair once again showcased the best of Passaic County while raising funds that go directly back into parks, historic sites, open spaces, and community programs through the Friends of Passaic County Parks, Inc.
Over the years, proceeds from the Fair have helped the Friends of Passaic County Parks fund projects that improve recreational spaces and enhance cultural and educational opportunities for residents. These include:
- Construction of the amphitheater at Rifle Camp Park
- Playground and ballfield renovations at Highlands Preserve
- Restoration and site improvements to Lambert Tower
- Improvements to the Rea Avenue Ballfield at Goffle Brook Park
- The restoration of the summer kitchen and creation of the kitchen garden at Dey Mansion Washington’s Headquarters
In addition to capital improvements, the Friends of Passaic County Parks also support year-round programs that are free and open to the public, such as the Summer Concert Series, Passaic County Book Festival, Art in the Park, the annual Fourth of July Picnic at Dey Mansion, Kids to Parks Day, and Tuesdays in the Plaza.
“The Fair is more than just a summer tradition, it’s an investment in our community,” said Passaic County Commissioner Director Pat Lepore. “The support from the Friends of Passaic County Parks ensures that residents of all ages can enjoy quality parks, historic sites, and cultural programming year after year. We’re proud to see the Fair’s success translate directly into projects and events that benefit families across Passaic County.”
The Passaic County Board of County Commissioners thanks the many residents, vendors, and organizations who made the 2025 Passaic County Fair a success, along with the Fair’s three main sponsors Braen Stone Industries, Provident Bank, and Shumacher Chevrolet for their generous support. The County looks forward to welcoming the community back next year.
