PASSAIC COUNTY HOSTS FIRST VACCINE SITE EXCLUSIVELY FOR SENIORS

(Passaic County, New Jersey) – The Passaic County Board of County Commissioners through the Passaic County Department of Health Services will be hosting vaccination clinics exclusively for senior residents starting March 17th, 2021 at 8:00AM. The first vaccination clinic will be held at the Colts Arms senior home at 52 Godwin Street in Paterson.

We are monitoring demographic data from our vaccination clinic in Woodland Park to make sure we reach all our diverse groups within Passaic County.  In this most recent effort, we are proud to bring our vaccine clinics to underserved senior residents and making the process of getting vaccinated easier for one of our most vulnerable populations,” stated County Director Pat Lepore.

The County will be administering a total of 600-700 vaccines at their senior clinics, with 150-200 being administered on the first day at the Colts Arms senior home. This will also be the first time the County will be administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Currently, the county is administering the Moderna vaccine at its Mega Site in Woodland Park to those eligible in accordance state guidelines. Thus far, the county has administered a total of 21,630 vaccines. The County’s vaccination portal opens on alternating Thursdays, between 12-4PM. Residents can get more information on the County’s website at passaiccountynj.org/coronavirus.
