Passaic County SPCA Presents Pet Pics With Santa Event This Saturday December 19th, 2020 11am-1pm

Hawthorne, NJ, December 16, 2020 — On the heels of the very successful “Can The Van” event that the Passaic County SPCA held last weekend in West Milford, they are following up with the holiday-themed “Pet Pics With Santa!” This one will be at The Pet Pantry, located at their headquarters at 794 Lafayette Ave. in Hawthorne, New Jersey. They will be decorating the pantry’s porch and will have Santa Claus stationed there from 11am-1pm this Saturday, no matter the weather. Here is the link for the event details on their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/events/121754383008673

Stephanie Hornback, Passaic County SPCA Board Executive, said “we are asking for everyone attending to please bring a pet food donation to help restock the pantry. Our mobile van is now able to assist across Passaic County and the need for items has increased. We also will kindly accept a monetary donation on site.”

Elisabeth Barker, Passaic County SPCA member, devised this event and is organizing the decorating later this week after the snowstorm passes. She said, “It seemed like a no-brainer. The pantry continuously needs donations and we all could use some Christmas cheer. Holiday pet pictures make great keepsakes for years to come. You’re helping support families and pets in need. Nothing says Christmas more! We hope you will join us Saturday.”

The Passaic County SPCA is active on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Please follow, share and like their posts and events on social media. They have been extremely active throughout 2020 and hold monthly meetings via Zoom. These are on the second Tuesday of the month and are open to the public. Their Pet Pantry is open on the first Saturday of each month. You can contact them for details and sign up here: http://pc-spca.org/pet-pantry/. Also, there are a few ways you can donate to help their ongoing efforts in 2021. Here is the link: http://pc-spca.org/donate/.

They ask that everyone be respectful by wearing a facemask. Please be safe and social distance while waiting for your pic with Santa! Thank you and hope to see you all this Saturday. Happy holidays!
