PATERSON TO BREAK GROUND ON REVITALIZATION OF HISTORIC PATHWAYS THROUGHOUT EASTSIDE PARK
The City will break ground on its project to reflect and improve historic pathways that used to guide pedestrians throughout Eastside Park
PATERSON – The City of Paterson will announce that it is ready to break ground on the revitalization and improvement of pedestrian pathways throughout Eastside Park. Eastside Park has a rich, deep-rooted history as one of the area’s first planned park spaces and is the epicenter of the Eastside Park Historic District. While parts of the park have fallen into disrepair, the City has sought funds to begin revitalization of critical improvements, with pedestrian safety as a main cornerstone to improving each resident and visitor’s use of park space. Funding for this project was originally granted by the Passaic County Commissioners through the competitive Passaic County Open Space Trust Fund grant program, awarded in July 2019.
