PBA ENDORSES CRYAN FOR STATE SENATE
WOODBRIDGE – New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association President Patrick Colligan today issued the following statement endorsing Senator Joseph Cryan’s re-election bid in June 8th’s Democratic Primary.
“Senator Cryan has been a tremendous partner in all of our efforts to work with communities throughout the 20th district and across the state to keep people safe and protected during this horrific pandemic,” said Colligan. “It is our policy to refrain from endorsing candidates involved in a Primary, but Joe’s leadership during this health crisis in adhering to the science and working to supply critical personal protective equipment and vaccination shots for the community caused us to take this drastic step.”
Cryan thanked Colligan and the NJSPBA for their support.
“I’ve witnessed first-hand the heroic efforts put forth on a daily basis by the men and women of law enforcement as they’ve battled on the frontlines to keep our residents safe during this health crisis,” said Cryan. “Pat and his members immediately prioritized the well-being of district families even as they worked to make sure health and safety protocols were strictly followed. I am grateful for the PBA’s support for our campaign, just as I am grateful for all they have done to bring some level of stability during these unprecedented times.”
