PBA PREZ: TESTA, ROMERO & SILEO VICTORY REPRESENTS VOTER DISCONTENT
Says Union Backed the Slate That Put People Above Politics
(VINELAND, NJ) – Victor Bermudez, president of PBA Local 231, today spoke out about Tuesday night’s election, declaring victories by Sen. Michael Testa, Tony Romero and Joe Sileo as the receipts of voter discontent in Cumberland County.
“The voters of Cumberland County have spoken loud and clear: we want change and we want it now!” said Victor Berumudez, a 20 year veteran of PBA Local 231. “Sen. Testa, Tony Romero and Joe Sileo met the voters where they stood, presented a clear alternative, and demonstrated a keen understanding of the needs of Cumberland County.”
PBA Local 231 fully endorsed Sen. Testa and aggressively campaigned for his down ballot running mates, Romero and Sileo.
“Romero and Sileo met with us, listened to our concerns, and spent time with our membership and other grassroots groups,” said Bermudez. “We look forward to working with them going forward.”
As of today, Romero and Sileo were up with 16,181 and 16,118 over their Democratic rivals.
