Piscataway Township PD statement on pedestrian fatality

A statement from Piscataway Township Police Department Acting Chief Thomas Mosier

“At 6:52 a.m. this morning, a 61-year-old man was struck by a northbound 2002 Mercedes Benz driven by a 68-year-old male Piscataway resident.  The collision occured on Stelton Road near Charles Terrace.  Piscataway Township first responders attempted to provide first aid but the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The victim was in the roadway possibly tending to a deer that had been struck and killed at an unknown time.  The investigation is continuing.”
