Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey Launches Series of Events Marking the 50th Anniversary of Roe v Wade
January 9, 2023– Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey is marking the 50th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade with “Roe @ 50,” a series of free events and fundraisers statewide. These events are open to all, and will benefit and support reproductive health care rights and access in the wake of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision last year, which ended the constitutional right to abortion care granted by Roe.
Fifty years after the Supreme Court’s landmark decision protecting abortion rights nationwide – and six months after the Supreme Court struck down the decision – we approach the anniversary with reflection, defiance, and community building. In New Jersey, where abortion care continues to be protected, we have a new mandate to expand access and support reproductive health care everywhere. Lest we forget, just a few years ago, the prior Administration completely defunded family planning services, targeting New Jersey’s most vulnerable residents. We know that rights without access are meaningless and our commitment to these dual goals remains evergreen.
The “Roe @ 50” series is an opportunity to make your voice heard, influence decision makers and meet supporters in your area. The series will take place from January 18th through January 29th:
FUNDRAISERS:
January 18th in Jersey City
January 21st in Asbury Park
January 23rd in Trenton
January 26th in Collingswood
January 27th in Fair Lawn
FREE EVENTS:

January 19th in Morristown
