Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey Statement in Response to the Murphy Administration Announcing Funding to Support Facility and Security Upgrades for Reproductive Healthcare Providers
Trenton, N.J. – Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey Executive Director Jackie Cornell issued the following statement on the Murphy Administration’s announcement:
“We are grateful for the Murphy Administration’s support in providing crucial resources to reproductive health care providers throughout New Jersey. Every year, Planned Parenthood affiliates in New Jersey provide more than 100,000 patients with a full range of reproductive health services – regardless of income, insurance, immigration status, or identity. Planned Parenthood affiliates will use these funds to make facilities improvements, update equipment, strengthen IT capacity and more.
Elections have consequences. During the eight years of the Christie Administration, family planning funding was eliminated from the state budget. These new funds will help to right the wrongs of those years, address the increased demand for services and invest in future generations of New Jerseyans who need reproductive health care.”
