Experienced nonprofit finance executive brings decades of financial leadership to growing behavioral health organization

LAKEWOOD, N.J. — Preferred Behavioral Health Group (PBHG), a leading provider of behavioral health services throughout New Jersey, today announced the appointment of Stacey G. Shultz, CPA, as Chief Financial Officer.

Shultz brings decades of financial management and leadership experience to PBHG, with an extensive background overseeing the finances of nonprofit, health and human services organizations. Most recently, she served as Chief Financial Officer of Prevention Links, Inc., where she oversaw the finances of a $13 million nonprofit organization, implemented a new accounting system, strengthened budgeting and financial reporting processes, and worked closely with executive leadership and the Board of Directors on strategic planning.

Prior to joining Prevention Links, Shultz served as CFO of 180 Turning Lives Around, Inc., where she managed budgeting, treasury functions, cost controls, risk management, audits and government and private grant reporting. She previously held senior financial leadership positions with The Arc of Union County, the Joint Meeting of Essex and Union Counties and Eva’s Village. Her experience has included financial oversight of organizations with annual budgets ranging as high as $36 million.

Throughout her career, Shultz has worked closely with executive teams, boards of directors and program leaders to strengthen financial controls, improve organizational decision-making and ensure that financial resources are aligned with strategic priorities. At Eva’s Village, she also worked with the organization’s development team to establish organizational goals and cultivate relationships with funders and other external stakeholders.

Earlier in her career, Shultz held financial leadership positions with Amnesty International USA, Accredited Health Services, Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat and other organizations. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics/Accounting from the State University of New York College at Oneonta.
