Burlington County teens are invited to get their “glow” on at four Burlington County tennis courts.

The Burlington County Municipal Alliance Program in partnership with Prevention Plus, XGLOsive Tennis and the towns of Evesham, Hainesport, Cinnaminson and Mount Laurel are hosting the Light The Night 2021 XGLO Tennis Alliance Tour, a series of fun-filled and exciting XGLOsive tennis parties for teens of all abilities.

XGLOsive offers an exciting spin on traditional tennis featuring glow-in-the-dark tennis balls, black lights, and dance music. It’s a fun, no-pressure social experience and it kicks off this week!

The XGLOsive Tennis sessions will be held on Aug. 13 in Evesham, Aug. 14 in Hainesport, August 16 in Cinnaminson and Aug. 17 in  Mount Laurel. The events are open to kids 12 and up but registration is strongly encouraged.

Each location will hold 2 one hour skills sessions at 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM.

The events are free but participants should bring their own tennis racket and shoes.

Prevention Plus coordinator Joe Conlin said the events provide teens with an exciting “club-like” atmosphere free of drugs and alcohol.

“It’s a fun and exciting night out that’s substance-free,” said Conlin. “It’s one way to have fun and socialize without those pressures.”

This year’s Light The Night tour marks the second time XGLOsive Tennis has taken over tennis in Burlington County. Prevention Plus and the Cinnaminson Municipal Alliance first brought the company to the county in August 2019 for a one-night event in Cinnaminson.

This year the event was expanded to four nights with multiple sessions with the support of the Burlington County Municipal Alliance and the four municipalities.

“The first event in Cinnaminson was a huge success and we’re thrilled to be able to expand to Evesham, Hainesport and Mount Laurel this year so more people can experience the fun,” Conlin said. “Space is limited, but playing slots are still available in all four towns, so we’re encouraging people to register right away.”
