Publitics Takes Home Reed Award for Biden Campaign Work

Caldwell, NJ — Campaigns and Elections Magazine announced the winners of the 2021 Stanley F. Reed Awards. Publitics took home a Reed Award for the Best Overall Sign or Collateral item for their Philly for Joe poster featuring NBA star Ben Simmons.  The poster was a part of a broader effort including Simmons’s endorsement of the Biden/Harris ticket and social media outreach.  The original poster design was adapted for social media and appeared in media coverage including in Sports IllustratedUPROXX and Fox News.

Publitics was also nominated for designing Joe Biden’s viral “We Just Did” hat and a video series produced for Montclair Mayor Sean M. Spiller.  Conan O’Brien called the hat “a clever response to the famous Trump slogan,” and GQ said of the hat, “Joe Biden Makes Merch Great Again.”  In late April, the firm took home a Pollie Award for Spiller’s hockey-themed launch video.

“We’re always looking for unique ways to communicate a message, whether it’s through a poster, a hat or more traditional channels like direct mail, video and digital,” said Publitics founder and principal Matt Krayton.  “We’re proud to have been recognized for our work this year by both the AAPC and Campaigns and Elections Magazine.”

“Political communication is part art and part science. At Publitics, we strive to constantly hone our craft to deliver compelling media for our clients that cuts through the noise to win elections.” said Publitics principal Henry de Koninck.

“We are honored to have won a Stanley F. Reed Award for the work we do. As the world around us changes, we respond, finding ways to both utilize and challenge the status quo of campaigning,” said Publitics director Sam Liebman.

The Reed Awards, named after Campaigns & Elections founder Stanley Foster Reed, embody excellence in political campaigning, campaign management, political consulting and political design, grassroots & advocacy.
