(R) LD32 NJ State Senatorial Candidate David Winkler’s Statement on the Hudson & Bergen County ICE Facilities Issue

As a grassroots Conservative State Senatorial Candidate within the NJ, I believe we have a responsibility to sit-down & truly listen to the arguments from the other side of the aisle on the issues surrounding the ICE Facilities in both Hudson & Bergen County. I condemn the recent behavior by the Hudson County Democrats who claim they represent diversity, inclusion, tolerance, & civility, but issue restraining orders, laugh at speakers, duck & dodge hard questions & force through deals without truly listening to the complaints of the constituency.

My campaign is available & approachable to discuss any issue that is important to you as an individual citizen or even as a collective group. I formally extend an invite to discuss this key issue with Amy Torres, & Kason Little the two advocates who were recently issued restraining orders by County Executive Tom DeGise and five of the six freeholders who voted in favor of the ICE deal in Hudson County. I expect high volumes of anger, pain, & frustration by advocates when allegations of possible human rights violations are being levied & we as leaders should take those allegations seriously.

We have had serious immigration issues here in Hudson & Bergen County for decades & my campaign aims to implement common sensed & pragmatic permanent solutions rather than temporary band-aids that don’t solve anything. I believe together as a community we can fix these complex issues & become the shining example for others to follow across the United States. My campaign can always be reached by emailing us at info@winklerfornjstatesenate.com.
