Rachel Peace Emerges as Leading Contender in Democratic Congressional Primary for NJ’s 4th Congressional District
Peace Secures Convention Wins and Endorsements of Ocean and Monmouth County Democrats
OCEAN COUNTY, NJ – Rachel Peace made significant progress toward becoming the Democratic candidate for the 4th Congressional District seat by earning the endorsement of Ocean County Democrats at their convention on March 15, 2026.
The Ocean endorsement, coupled with Peace’s endorsement by the Monmouth County Democrats on February 7, certifies her as the candidate with the most support in the June 2, 2026, Primary Election.
Peace thanked her Ocean County supporters as she discussed her plans for a vigorous issue-oriented campaign:
“As a newcomer to the political scene, I’m humbled to have earned the nomination of Ocean County, where I grew up, on the heels of my endorsement in Monmouth County, where I’m raising my son.”
Peace continued, “I’m hopeful that my race is an indicator of a broader, nationwide trend of regular younger people—not corrupt career politicians—stepping up to solve problems we didn’t create and change conditions we won’t accept by bringing unique expertise and alternative perspectives to Congress, proving we can legislate in A Better Way.”
Peace and her team are rallying supporters through campaign-related groups such as the GenZ4Peace coalition, the campaign’s largest so far, with additional groups such as the Retirees4Peace and Parents4Peace coalitions in the works. The Peace4Shore Team sees these coalitions as a valuable way for neighbors who don’t generally get involved in politics to have a voice in the campaign, and any interested volunteers are encouraged to join.
Peace remains extremely grateful for the Monmouth County Democrats’endorsement at their annual convention. Over 700 delegates from the county’s 53 municipalities threw their support to candidates of their choice. Peace won the majority of votes among those running in the primary, and was endorsed along with current elected officials Senator Cory Booker, Representative Frank Pallone Jr., and Representative Herb Conaway Jr. Peace is honored to be in their company.
