Rep. Norcross on Speaker Pelosi’s Decision Not to Seek a Leadership Position in the 118th Congress

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) released the following statement after House Speaker Nacy Pelosi’s announced she will not seek an elected leadership position in the 118th Congress.

“I have only known one leader during my time in Congress — Speaker Nancy Pelosi. I am honored to have served alongside her and am grateful for her dedicated and effective service to our nation.

“What has often gone unnoticed by many is her tenacity, her understanding of how this institution operates, and her incredible ability to navigate it to secure historic achievements against even the most unlikely odds.
