Rev. Marques-Aquil Lewis Endorses Amina Bey for Central Ward Council

Newark, NJ – Rev. Marques-Aquil Lewis, former President of the Newark Board of Education and the youngest elected board member at just 21 years old, has officially endorsed Amina Bey for Central Ward Council.
Rev. Lewis, a respected leader in Newark’s educational, religious and civic landscape, played a pivotal role in the city’s historic transition back to local control of its schools. In voicing his support, he emphasized that Bey embodies the leadership and vision needed at this critical time for the Central Ward.
