Russo -Marano Campaign Launch “Vital Partner” and “Real Progress” Video Ads for 2019 Campaign

Russo Promises to Partner Sheriff’s Office with Local Communities, Marano Commits to Renew our Infrastructure and Support Every Somerset County Resident and Business

[Somerville, NJ] – The Somerset County Democratic Committee today unveiled two video ads intended to highlight the campaigns of Darrin Russo for Sheriff and Melonie Marano for Freeholder. The videos tell the positive visions Russo and Marano have for Somerset County’s future.

Russo’s “Vital Partner” video notes that traditionally the Sheriff has assigned officers to desks and county buildings rather than in the community the officer serves. Russo says that as Sheriff he will change that practice, and be a vital partner in all 21 Somerset County towns.

“As a 30 year police veteran, I know the value of working with schools, places of worship, and residents to protect our families,” Russo says. “Working together, we will make the Sheriff’s department a vital part of the Somerset County community.”

Marano’s “Real Progress” is a call to change the way the county invests taxpayers’ money, moving from big entertainment projects and renewing our focus on bridges, roads and schools.  Marano will bring her years of business, non-profit and government experience to the board to renew crumbling county resources for every resident.

“I’m running for Freeholder so we can end years of wasteful county spending on projects like golf courses and focus on projects that benefit everyone such as vital infrastructure and a direct peak train ride to New York,” Marano says. “With your vote in November, we will finally make real progress for Somerset County.”
