Ryan Greff Elected Chairman of Bergen County’s Workforce Development Board
FAIR LAWN, NJ – Ryan Greff, Executive Director of Fair Lawn Main Street Inc., has been elected Chairman of the Bergen County Workforce Development Board. The vote took place at the Board’s quarterly meeting on September 3, 2025, held at Bergen Community College. Greff had been serving as Interim Chairman since June 4, 2025.
“Ryan Greff brings a rare blend of energy, vision, and a deep understanding of how local economies function to his leadership roles,” said Robert Godfrey, Trustee of Fair Lawn Main Street Inc., “we are incredibly proud to see him take on this vital post, and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if he is the youngest Workforce Development Board Chair in U.S. history. His experience building community partnerships and supporting small businesses in Fair Lawn will enable him to bring valuable perspectives to the county’s workforce planning efforts.”
Workforce Development Boards, established under the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, operate in regions across the country to direct workforce policy, oversee job training initiatives, and ensure alignment between workforce programs and the needs of local employers. Each board brings together leaders from business, labor, education, and community organizations to support economic growth and employment access. As Chairman, Greff will lead Bergen County’s Workforce Development Board in developing forward-looking strategies to strengthen the regional workforce and support initiatives such as industry partnerships, workforce training programs, and alignment with local economic development goals.
As Executive Director of Fair Lawn Main Street Inc., Greff has led numerous initiatives focused on revitalizing business districts, supporting local entrepreneurs, and fostering place-based economic development within the Borough of Fair Lawn. He is also a member of the New Jersey Commission on National and Community Service and serves on the Advisory Board of the Anisfield School of Business at Ramapo College of New Jersey.
