Sarlo, Schaer & Calabrese on Jersey City Shooting, Fallen Police Officer Joseph Seals

(TRENTON) – Senator Paul Sarlo, Assemblymen Gary Schaer and Clinton Calabrese (All D-Bergen, Passaic) issued the following joint statement Wednesday:

“Nothing affects a community more than losing a dedicated police officer or firefighter who worked hard every day to protect its residents. We had the privilege of representing Detective Joseph Seals in the 36^th Legislative District, and it is with our deepest sorrow that we extend condolences to the family and friends of Detective Seals and to his brothers and sisters within the Jersey City Police Department. The loss of a first responder, under any circumstance, will always be a great tragedy. This was an unexpected, tragic incident which claimed one too many lives, including that of Detective Seals.”
