SCDC CHAIRWOMAN ROWE ENDORSES DUARTE FOR CHAIRWOMAN

As Chairwoman of the Sussex County Democratic Committee, I am proud to endorse Amalia Duarte for Chair of the Morris County Democratic Committee. Sussex County and Morris County have a long history of collaboration between them. Our two counties share legislative districts and Congressional representatives, but more importantly, we share a fighting spirit. Democrats in Sussex County and Morris County understand what it means to fight difficult battles to achieve their goals. Goals like re-electing Mikie Sherrill in the 11th district and Tom Malinowski in the 7th district. Our immediate neighbors in LD24, like Mt. Olive, also know our struggles all too well as we battle every two years against the embarrassing representation that is Assemblymen Space, Wirths, and Senator Steve Oroho. 

Morris County Democrats, like Sussex County Democrats, never shy away from these fights — they face them head on.  This  is why it is imperative to have strong leadership at the top of their organization. Amalia Duarte is the strong, tested leadership that is needed to Morris  County into the future.  As the first woman chair of the Morris County Democratic Committee, and first Latina, Amalia Duarte will be an outstanding leader. My undersigned leadership team and I will be here to assist her in any way we are able to ensure her success.

We wish Amalia, her team, and the entire Morris County Democratic Committee well as they embark on this exciting new chapter with exceptional leadership. We look forward to seeing you all on the campaign trail and at the victory parties after we re-elect our amazing congressional delegation.
