Secretary Fudge to Travel to Newark, Trenton to Discuss Affordable Housing and Participate in Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

WASHINGTON – Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Marcia L. Fudge will travel to Newark and Trenton, New Jersey, on Monday, May 23rd.

 

In Newark, Secretary Fudge will tour the Donald M. Payne Senior School of Technology, where she will greet students pursuing careers in homebuilding and participate in a roundtable with local affordable housing stakeholders. She will discuss the Biden-Harris Administration’s newly announced Housing Supply Action Plan and HUD’s recent awarding of billions in funding for housing and community development activities, including affordable housing development, across the U.S.

 

In Trenton, Secretary Fudge will participate in a ribbon-cutting at Jennings Village, a new affordable rental housing property funded with HUD funding. She will discuss new housing being developed in the wake of the pandemic and the federal responses to the high demand for affordable housing.
