Senate President and Union County Democratic Chairman Nick Scutari has endorsed Rahway Mayor Ray Giacobbe and Councilmembers Jeff Brooks, Joanna Miles, and Jeremy Mojica in the 2022 Rahway Democratic Primary. Scutari, who represents Rahway in the New Jersey State Senate, wrote in a statement:

“Rahway has undergone an incredible transformation in recent years and that has been guided by the Mayor Giacobbe’s balance of steady leadership, fiscal responsibility, and progressive policy. Ray is a friend but he’s also one of Union County’s most successful Mayors, driven by a motivation to better the city that raised him and give back to the community that has supported him.
Part of what makes the Mayor so successful is that he surrounds himself with other great leaders and he works closely with them to accomplish what’s best for the taxpayers and residents of Rahway. In Jeff Brooks, Joanna Miles, and Jeremy Mojica, he has three running mates who not only work as hard as he does but also provide unique insights and diverse skillsets to the Council.
Rahway is one of the up-and-coming cities in not just Union County, but all of New Jersey, and re-electing Mayor Giacobbe and the Rahway Forward team is crucial to keep Rahway on the right track. I enthusiastically endorse them and look forward to being out there with them on the campaign trail.”
