Senator Booker and Assemblyperson Swain Swear in Glen Rock Councilmembers Gilbreath and Gilligan
Glen Rock, NJ– Democratic Councilmembers Teresa Gilbreath and Paula Gilligan were sworn in on Friday, January 6. Assemblyperson Lisa Swain administered the oath of office for Councilmember Gilbreath, and Senator Cory Booker administered the oath for Councilmember Gilligan.
Councilmember Gilbreath will be serving her second term on the Glen Rock Borough Council, and Councilmember Gilligan will be serving her first. Former Councilmember Rob Dill did not seek a second term and is now pursuing a doctorate degree. Glen Rock’s governing body is comprised of seven Democrats, six of whom are women.
Soon after being sworn in, Councilmember Gilligan shared, “Thank you, Glen Rock! I’m excited and hopeful for all we can accomplish.”
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to continue working for Glen Rock,” Councilmember Gilbreath said, “I am proud of my accomplishments thus far, and I look forward to furthering these initiatives while beginning new projects alongside my Council colleagues.”
During their campaign, Gilbreath and Gilligan received endorsements from the New Jersey League of Conservation Voters and #VoteProChoice in addition to earning Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate Distinctions.
