Sheriff Cureton Hosts Breakfast for Active Duty and Veteran BCSO Officers
HACKENSACK, N.J. – This morning, Sheriff Anthony Cureton and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office hosted a thank you breakfast for veterans and active duty military personnel employed among the ranks of the Sheriff’s Office.
Over 30 officers from the agency attended the breakfast in the first floor conference room at Two Bergen County Plaza, along with local county dignitaries including Bergen County Freeholders Germaine Ortiz, Mary Amoroso, and Tracy Zur.
This was the first time the Sheriff’s Office hosted a Veterans Day breakfast to recognize members of the agency who served our country.
Sheriff Cureton intends to make this breakfast an annual tradition, “We can never truly repay the brave individuals who have served in the US Armed Forces to protect the rights and freedom we all hold dear as a nation. However, recognizing that our office employs several veterans and many still serving in the reserves or active duty, I thought it appropriate and important to host a breakfast this morning for those BCSO employees who have served as a token of our appreciation.”
