Sierra Club, New Jersey Endorses Representative Donald Payne Jr.

The Sierra Club New Jersey Chapter announces the endorsement of Representative Donald Payne Jr. who serves New Jersey’s 10th Congressional District. As a member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Payne has been an advocate of the Build Back Better agenda and the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act which would provide  federal investments in roads, bridges, transit, rail and wastewater infrastructure.

“Congressman Payne has a long record of advocating for policy that supports environmental conservation, clean energy, and public health,” said Richard Isaac, Sierra Club New Jersey Chapter Chair. “His dedication to the elimination of lead from the drinking water in his district, securing funding for vital improvements to infrastructure, and work in Congress to advance efforts to transition to clean energy has been incredibly strong. I am confident that Congressman Payne will continue to be a valuable partner and ally in Washington, and we are proud to endorse his campaign for reelection.”
