Signorello for Senate Invites $199.99 Donations by Check

ROSELLE PARK, N.J. – Signorello for Senate, the campaign to elect Joseph Signorello III to the New Jersey Senate seat currently held by Bob Menendez, launched its tongue-in-cheek “$199 Club” today. The campaign invites supporters to send donations-by-check for $199.99, the largest donation amount allowed by check before the donor’s name is required to be reported to the Federal Election Committee (FEC).

In an upbeat and wry minute-long video announcing the new club, Mr. Signorello, the mayor of Roselle Park, harkens back to the current Senator’s infamous threat after his 2017 mistrial related to bribery and other charges of corruption. “To those digging my political grave,” the Senator said then on the steps of the Federal Courthouse in Newark, “I know who you are, and I won’t forget you.” Mr. Signorello assures those who “don’t love Bob Mendendez, but are super scared of him,” that by sending $199.99 by check to Mr. Signorello’s home address of 508 Sherman Avenue, Roselle Park, NJ, 07204, “Uncle Bob will never know that you’re sick of him being your Senator.”

Mr. Signorello is the only declared candidate who has raised money challenging Menendez in the 2024 Primary Election for his Senate seat. Bob Menendez is currently the subject of another federal investigation for ethical breaches related to a halal exports contract.
