Singh Wins Ocean County GOP Convention
South Jersey Engineer is 2 for 2 in Organizational Support
Linwood, NJ — South Jersey engineer and successful businessman Hirsh Singh last night won the Ocean County GOP Convention and has now carried both of the conventions held to date in his campaign for Congress in the Second Congressional District.

“I’m grateful to the Ocean County Republican County Council for their support and I pledge to work closely with the organization and the county and municipal candidates to ensure we have victories up and down the ballot on November 6,” Singh said.

Singh said that he worked hard to connect with as many voting members of the Council as possible before the vote — both by phone and by visiting members door-to-door.

“We know that the campaign against Tanzie Youngblood or Jeff Van Drew is going to take a lot of hard work and a lot of shoe leather,” Singh said.  “We’re building a campaign that is ready, willing, and capable of taking the fight to whoever the Democrat nominee is and we’re demonstrating that during the convention season.”

Following Singh’s victory, Ocean County Republican Chairman George Gilmore said that he was excited to have Singh join the organizational team and confident that he would help excite new voters in the November election.

“Over the last year Hirsh has proven to be a tenacious campaigner, a quick learner, and — maybe most importantly — a team player,” Gilmore said.  “He’s going to run a great campaign and he’s going to keep South Jersey in Republican hands for years to come.”

Ocean County towns in the Second Congressional District include Barnegat Light, Beach Haven, Eagleswood, Harvey Cedars, Little Egg Harbor Township, Long Beach Township, Ship Bottom, part of Stafford Township, Surf City, and Tuckerton.

Singh previously won the support of the Burlington County GOP.
