Small Administration Announces Return of Free Summer Concert Series to Gardner’s Basin

(ATLANTIC CITY) – The Small Administration, in partnership with the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA), announced today the return of Atlantic City’s free concert series to Gardener’s Basin. The two-concert series kicks off on Saturday, August 22 and concludes on Sunday, August 29.

“We’re excited to safely host music lovers again for two nights of free concerts in Gardner’s Basin,” said Mayor Marty Small, Sr. “These talented artists, most of whom are local to Atlantic City, will treat attendees to the lively Atlantic City entertainment experience that we all know and love, but have missed over the last year.”

Shows will be held outdoors and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or towels and blankets. Umbrellas and coolers are permitted while grills are not. Local food and dry good vendors will also be on-site during both concerts.

“On behalf of the CRDA Board of Directors and Chairman Mo Butler, we are excited to once again offer free concerts in Gardner’s Basin this summer,” said CRDA Executive Director Matt Doherty. “The concerts bring a sense of community and entertainment to residents and visitors and helps showcase the many amenities available in Atlantic City and the Tourism District.”

August 22 Concert

WHEN: 1 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

WHERE: Gardner’s Basin: 800 N. New Hampshire Ave.

WHO: Hosted by Bowlegged Lou and featuring musical guests: The Manhattans featuring Gerald Alston, Joe Bataan, Meli”sa Morgan, Double Exposure, Jean Carn, First Choice, DJ Herb, Angela Burton & Passion, Office The Wall Band, and Judah Dorrington & Paradise

August 29 Concert

WHEN: 1 p.m. – 7 p.m.; Rain date: September 11

WHERE: Gardner’s Basin: 800 N. New Hampshire Ave.

WHO: Hosted by Maurice “The Voice” Watts and featuring musical guests: Russel Thompkins Jr. & The New Stylists, Wil Hart of the Original Delfonics, GQ, Force M.D’s, The Full Force Brothers & special guests, Alyson Williams, DJ FAH D, Cason Express Band, Jackie Greggs, and the Eddie Morgan Trio.

The concert series is produced by the National R&B Music Society Inc. and is free to the public.
