Sparta Democratic Leaders Endorse Rebecca Bennett for Congress
Group of longtime Sparta Democratic leaders back Bennett ahead of 3/14 Sussex Convention
BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Today, former Navy helicopter pilot, healthcare leader, and mom of two, Rebecca Bennett was endorsed by a group of Sussex County leaders: Sally Larson, Democratic Chair of Sparta, Bill Greenlaw, Democratic Vice-Chair of Sparta, and Ret. NJ Superior Court Judge and Sparta Democratic Committee Member Lorraine Parker. In the NJ-07 portion of Sussex County, Sparta delegates make up the most number of voting delegates in the Sussex County Democratic Committee convention process.
The endorsement is a big sign of momentum for Bennett ahead of the Sussex County Democratic Committee’s convention on March 14th.

As a former U.S. Navy helicopter pilot, she has already demonstrated the courage, discipline, and dedication required to serve our country at the highest level,” said Sally Larson, Sparta Democratic Chair. “Those same qualities will guide her work for our community when she gets to Congress. Rebecca understands the priorities of Sussex County residents and will work tirelessly to bring people together and get things done. I’m proud to support Rebecca because I know she will continue to provide responsible leadership and fight for a strong future for families across this district.”

Rebecca Bennett is a former U.S. Navy helicopter pilot, officer in the Air National Guard, business leader in healthcare, and mom of two. Rebecca served in the Navy for over a decade as a helicopter pilot and aircraft commander. After serving her country for over fifteen years in the military and making waves in healthcare innovation, Rebecca is running for Congress to build a better future for our community. As a mom to two young girls, Rebecca understands first-hand the challenges of balancing work & family while navigating inflation and the rising cost of living.
