STATE TROOPERS FRATERNAL ASSOCIATION PAC ENDORSES BASHAW FOR US SENATE

Third Law Enforcement Organization Backs Bashaw Over Anti-Cop Kim

CAPE MAY — The State Troopers Fraternal Association (STFA) Political Action Committee this week announced their support for Republican Curtis Bashaw as the candidate who supports law enforcement and will keep communities safe. Following the New Jersey State Police Benevolent Association (NJ PBA) and the National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO), this is the third law enforcement organization to back businessman and political outsider Bashaw over three-term Congressman Andy Kim, who routinely votes against the best interests of New Jersey’s police officers in Congress.

In their endorsement letter of general election candidates, which largely includes congressional incumbents with the exception of Bashaw, the STFA stated, “these candidates represent the best visions, and we are certain they will provide the utmost support for the men and women of the STFA in these difficult times.”

Bashaw pledged to support the more than 1900 New Jersey State Troopers and law enforcement officers who work to protect New Jersey families and keep our communities safe every day.

“Every New Jersey family deserves to feel safe and secure in their own home and neighborhood, and that starts with giving law enforcement the support they need to do their jobs. In Congress, Andy Kim has failed to do that,” said Curtis Bashaw, candidate for United States Senate.  “He voted for an anti-police bill that would strip law enforcement officers of legal protections and make it harder for cops to fight crime and keep our communities safe. He doesn’t have their backs, but I will. In the United States Senate, I will always stand with these brave men and women who put their lives on the line for New Jersey every single day.”

In their previous endorsement, New Jersey State PBA President Peter Andreyev said, “We need a Senator in Washington like Curtis Bashaw who will stand with law enforcement to protect our officers and will push back against policies that have made our State more dangerous than ever before. Andy Kim’s record on our issues in Congress is terrible.  He continues to support eliminating qualified immunity for officers who do their jobs honorably, he routinely votes against legislation supported by the National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO) and unlike the rest of the New Jersey Delegation, not one time in his years in the House has he ever attempted to work with us on supporting our members.”
