Statement from Democratic Congressional Redistricting Delegation Chair Janice Fuller

TRENTON, NJ — Democratic Congressional Redistricting Delegation Chair Janice Fuller is releasing the following statement:

“We are very pleased that the Supreme Court has unanimously and overwhelmingly denied Republican attempts to sabotage the redistricting process and will allow the adopted map to stand and this matter to conclude. It has always been clear that the Republican lawsuit was absolutely meritless and amounted to nothing more than political theater intended to play to their radical base, not any genuine concern about fairness or voting rights. Attacking our democratic institutions with meritless claims is an attack on our democracy. We are glad that the Supreme Court agreed with our defense and affirmed that the Commission produced a fair and responsive map that reflects the diversity of New Jersey.”
