“On Friday night I tested positive for COVID-19, and I will now be isolating in accordance with CDC guidelines. As someone with several health risk factors this is something I have been concerned about since the start of the pandemic, but I am thankful to be vaccinated and boosted. At this time I am asymptomatic and I will continue to represent my district and perform my duties remotely. COVID-19 is still a very real threat especially to people who are immunocompromised, and I urge everyone who is eligible to get vaccinated to help protect people who are at greater risk. I know that my family, friends and constituents are praying for me during this difficult time, and I’m grateful for that support.”
