UNION TOWNSHIP – State Senator Joseph Cryan today released the following statement on Rep. Donald Payne:

“It is a truly terrible day for district residents and for people everywhere who respect good government. Congressman Payne dedicated his life to serving the public and his hard work and determination every day in the fight to make people’s lives better cannot be overstated.  He was a true champion in Washington for our district and his legacy will continue to carry forward.

Don Payne was a friend, and he will be missed.
