STATEMENT OF OLD BRIDGE DEMOCRATIC COUNTY COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN

Ladies and Gentlemen,

As chairman of the Old Bridge Democratic County Committee, I issue this statement today to condemn the unprecedented attacks on our nation’s Capital, the temple of our Democracy and one of our Country’s sanctities of freedom. We as Democrats respect everyone’s right to peaceful protest as a bedrock of our Democracy. The assault we witnessed yesterday undermines the core principles of Democracy, the rule of law, and the peaceful transition of power. We all cherish our Democracy, the Constitution and the rights and privileges it guarantees. As the Democratic Chairman, and as attorney sworn to uphold the law, I believe it is imperative that our Constitution and rule of law be upheld and that these principles be given the utmost respect they deserve. I speak out and condemn violence and rioting as a means in any form to change election results. Regardless of anybody’s political orientation, those who violate the sacred principles of our Country should be held accountable. As Democratic Committee person and Democrats, your involvement in the process and participation at the community level helps to hold the core principles of our Country together.

In this time of unprecedented attack and after a day that will live in infamy, January 6, 2021, I want to personally thank you for your ongoing participation and encourage you to continue your work as Democrats and as Citizens of the United States of America who peacefully work to achieve the values of our Country.
