Steinhardt: Van Drew has been a Leader for South Jersey in Coronavirus Pandemic Response
For Immediate Release
New Jersey Republican State Committee Chairman Doug Steinhardt is challenging Democrat congressional candidate Brigid Callahan Harrison after she announced plans to attack President Trump and by extension Republican Congressman Jeff Van Drew after every update from the White House Coronavirus Task Force regardless of what is actually said or done.
“Brigid Harrison might not have noticed from her homes in Montclair and New York City, but in South Jersey Congressman Jeff Van Drew has been a leader in the regional response to the Coronavirus pandemic even digging into his own pocket to provide personal protective equipment to local medical professionals and first responders,” said New Jersey Republican State Committee Chairman Doug Steinhardt. “Congressman Van Drew has not only fought to secure critical state and federal resources for South Jersey families and small businesses, but was among the first to call for a testing site in South Jersey and testing is now taking place in every county he represents. Instead of preying on the fear and anxiety of millions of nervous New Jerseyans, Harrison should be thankful more of our friends and neighbors have not contracted the coronavirus.”
Note: Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, and Salem Counties currently account for less than one percent of Coronavirus cases statewide.
