SULEIMAN ANNOUNCES FORMATION OF SOUTH JERSEY FORWARD

(GALLOWAY) Today, Mike Suleiman announced the formation of South Jersey Forward, a nonprofit think tank and advocacy organization that is committed to exploring bold public policy to move South Jersey forward.

“From Atlantic City to the Delaware Bay, the PInelands to Cape May, we will research and identify solutions that will make South Jersey a better place to live,” said Michael Suleiman, founder of the organization.

South Jersey Forward, among other things, will host roundtable discussions, write public policy papers, conduct research, and work with policymakers to enact good public policy. South Jersey Forward is not a political action committee and will not engage in partisan politics.

“We will not promote milquetoast ideas or boilerplate positions just to get a headline. South Jersey Forward and its contributors will be focused on bold proposals and ideas regardless of their political popularity,” said Suleiman.

South Jersey Forward’s first endeavor will be a live roundtable discussion on exploring ways to expand middle-class housing in Atlantic City. Late last year, Suleiman penned an op-ed in New Jersey Spotlight where he proposed creating housing incubator zones funded through casino taxes.

The roundtable will be on Wednesday, May 31 at 7:00 p.m. and will be livestreamed on the South Jersey Forward Facebook page. Panelists will include Orange Loop developer Pat Fasano and Pastor Alexander Smith of Community Harvest Church in Atlantic City.
