Sweeney/Smith/Singleton to Hold Press Conference on the Water Quality Accountability Act

 

Trenton – Senate President Steve Sweeney, Chair of Senate Environment and Energy Committee Senator Bob Smith and Chair of Senate Community and Urban Affairs Committee Senator Troy Singleton will hold a press conference tomorrow on the impact of the Water Quality Accountability Act, the landmark 2017 law intended to help ensure the safety and reliability of the state’s drinking water systems.

 

The news conference will be held on Wednesday, August 14th at 10:30 a.m. in Room 103 of the Statehouse, Trenton.

 

The law established new accountability requirements for public and private water companies to modernize their systems, including timetables, water quality standards and reporting requirements
