Teaneck’s People for Progress Council Candidates Schedule a Series of Virtual Town Halls

Teaneck, N.J.: Denise Belcher, Ardie Walser, and Gina Gerszberg, who are running for Teaneck town council as the People for Progress, announced they will be holding online Town Halls every Tuesday evening until the May 12 election.

Gerszberg explained, “We can’t go door to door and meet with the residents as we would have liked. The virtual Town Halls will let us make that connection and hear people’s concerns.”

“Teaneck is filled with intelligent, talented, and creative people,” Walser noted. “For too many years, residents have felt the council turns a deaf ear to them. These forums will give them a voice, as well as an opportunity to hear the diverse perspectives of our team.”

Belcher amplified, “We are not cookie-cutter candidates. We each bring a unique set of viewpoints and expertise to the Teaneck council. We are united in our desire to work for equity, inclusion, affordability, and enhanced quality of life.”

Gerszberg added, “We are grateful for all the support we have received from Teaneck’s true community leaders, including NJ Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg, the legendary teacher and civil rights activist Theodora Lacey, and council members Dr. Henry Pruitt and Gervonn Rice, and many others. But we equally value the input and concerns of every resident of this town.”
