TEDESCO ISSUES LOCAL STATE OF EMERGENCY FOR BERGEN COUNTY

HACKENSACK, NJ – Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco issued a local state of emergency last night in response to heavy rain, wind, and flooding caused by Storm Ida. County Office of Emergency Management officials encourage residents, especially those living in close proximity to the Hackensack and Saddle Rivers, to stay home as many roadways are still flooded and closed. If you must go out, residents should avoid standing water at all costs. County administrative offices will have a delayed opening today at 11 a.m. for all non-essential personnel.
