The Marques-Aquill Lewis Civic Association will host a Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Wednesday

The Marques-Aquill Lewis Civic Association will host a Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Wednesday, November 26th at Congregational Baptist Church, 399 Bergen Street, Newark, New Jersey.

This free community event is designed to bring together residents, families, and seniors for a hot meal, fellowship, and Thanksgiving cheer. dinner will be served until 5:00 p.m. or while meals last.

“Our goal is to make sure no one in our community has to spend the Thanksgiving season alone or without a good meal,” said Marques-Aquill Lewis. “This is about more than food – it’s about love, unity, and reminding our neighbors that they matter.”

The Community Thanksgiving Dinner will feature a traditional holiday meal with turkey and trimmings, along with desserts and beverages. Volunteers from the Marques-Aquill Lewis Civic Association, Congregational Baptist Church, and community partners will assist with serving, hospitality, and clean-up.

Families, seniors, and individuals in need are especially encouraged to attend. No pre-registration is required.

The Association is also seeking volunteers and supporters to help with serving, set-up, clean-up, and donations of food or supplies.
