NEW JERSEY – The New Jersey AIDS Walk returns on May 4, 2025, at five locations: Asbury Park, Atlantic City, Bergen/Passaic, Morris County, and Newark. This year’s theme, “Remember. Educate, Defeat!”, reflects the decades long commitment of five partner organizations—The Center in Asbury Park, South Jersey AIDS Alliance, Buddies of NJ, EDGE New Jersey, and NJCRI—to raise funds and awareness in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
As we walk together, we remember and honor the lives lost to HIV while also celebrating the treatment advancements allowing people with HIV to live longer, healthier lives. Despite progress, approximately 37,000 individuals in New Jersey are still living with HIV. This event underscores the need for continued education and advocacy to combat stigma associated with HIV. The walk aims to raise funds in support of the vital services provided by our partner organizations, such as medical services, case management, outreach, education, HIV testing and prevention across the state.
“This event is not just a walk; it’s a movement for awareness and understanding,” said Michael Roland, New Jersey AIDS Walk Board President. “We stand together to remember those we’ve lost and advocate for those still facing the challenges of living with HIV.”
The event encourages community members to form teams, fundraise and walk locally. Join us on May 4th to take action and say, “We will remember. We will educate. We will defeat!” Join us on the Atlantic City Boardwalk at the Steel Pier on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. For more information, visit https://www.njaidswalk.org/ac25/
