The Purple Festival’s 7th International Women’s Day Awards

HALEDON, NJ – Event USA Entertainment is proud to present the 7th International Women’s Day Awards Ceremony, highlighting the valuable contributions of various women that help to build a more cohesive, safer and stronger community.   Their outstanding leadership helps to promote civic engagement, to influence and inspire others to be their best selves and to give of their time and talents to empower others along the way.

Topics of discussion during the plenary session scheduled from 3pm to 7pm, are issues of high importance to our community, like “breaking the bias,” “women’s physical and mental health,” “women and technology,” and a “youth panel” focusing on future goals.  As part of the celebration, guests will have an opportunity to enjoy an exhibition and a fashion show/cultural performance, as well as the awards ceremony and dinner.

As part of the evening program starting at 7:00pm, featured Speakers include the Honorable Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdez, 35th District Senator Nellie Pou and Assemblyman Benjie Wimberly, as well as our Passaic County Chairman John Currie.  Among other honorable guests, Passaic County Commissioner John Bartlett, City of Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh, Haledon Mayor Domenick Stampone, Prospect Park Mayor Mohamed Khairullah, Paterson Council President Maritza Davila, along with many other officials from Paterson and surrounding towns.

The Organizing committee composed of Dr. Jabeen Ahmed, Nareen Ahmed, Farhanna Balaghoom, Fara Haseen, Amber Huq and the Executive Committee, would like to welcome all honorees, guest speakers, volunteers, family and friends to this fun-filled event that offers an opportunity to bridge the gap, by uplifting and transforming communities through action and education.
