Tim Alexander announces Major Endorsement

Tim Alexander, Democratic Candidate for Congress in New Jersey’s 2nd Congressional District,
announced today the endorsement of Assemblywoman Shavonda Sumter.

This endorsement shows the continued momentum of the campaign, with support coming in from across the State and furthermore the Nation. With the growing support Tim has garnered, the path to victory in November is clear.

The following statements may be used on the record:

Assemblywoman Shavonda Sumter

Now more than ever, our country is in need of real leaders in Congress. People are struggling daily with inflation, healthcare costs, and gas prices. The people deserve to be represented by individuals who care about their well-being. Yet, Republicans are more concerned with taking our “Personal Rights” away than helping working families in their district. I wholeheartedly endorse Tim Alexander for Congress in the 2nd District. I believe that Tim will defend our rights with every means at his disposal. Tim Alexander is committed to helping the great people in the 2nd District and our state. His concrete plans to make sure that people’s needs are met and that they have an opportunity to thrive, proves why he is the voice for the people of the 2nd District. Tim Alexander’s public service career demonstrates his commitment and love for his district and our great state. Tim has a heart for service and is exactly the kind of Representative we need in D.C.

Tim Alexander

I am so humbled to have Assemblywoman Sumter’s support in this race. She has been a champion for New Jersey’s working class her entire tenure in office, and she is a shining example of how elected officials are so much better at their job when they make a real effort to stay connected to their community. There is so much of her I hope to emulate when we win this November, and with her support we are one step closer to that victory.
