TIM ALEXANDER OFFICIALLY LAUNCHES SECOND BID FOR CONGRESS IN NEW JERSEY’S SECOND DISTRICT

MILLVILLE, NJ – Democratic Candidate Tim Alexander will officially launch his campaign for the Second Congressional District of New Jersey at Terra Nonno in Millville, on August 2nd and at Oscar E. McClinton Park, Atlantic City, on August 3rd promising a renewed commitment to expanding economic growth, improving public transportation, enhancing healthcare access, and bringing more federal resources to the region.

Coming on the heels of the 2022 Congressional match-up between Alexander and incumbent Jeff Van Drew, Alexander has spent the past months building upon a strong campaign infrastructure and intensifying outreach efforts to voters. “I am more prepared, more determined, and more connected to the community than ever before,” Alexander said in his announcement speech.

Alexander promises a dynamic campaign focused on the pressing issues that face the district. “We’re going to ensure economic opportunities are available to all, expand access to public transport, and strive for equality in health care services,” Alexander stated. “This is about giving our community the representation it deserves in Washington with a representative who is willing to work tirelessly for all.”

With a substantial emphasis on serving veterans and their families, Alexander outlined plans for a more robust support structure. “Veterans have made immense sacrifices for our country, and we owe it to them and their families to provide services and support beyond just gratitude,” said Alexander.

One of the key themes of Alexander’s campaign is “progress for all.” Tim emphasized that this campaign will be a grassroots movement that will engage voters from all walks of life. “We want to ensure everyone’s voice is heard, regardless of their socio-economic status. That’s the true power of democracy,” Alexander added.

As the campaign gets underway, Alexander is optimistic about the 2024 election cycle. “There’s palpable energy in our district and across the country. People are ready for change and progress in our district, and we’re here to channel that energy into real, meaningful action.”

A local New Jersey resident with deep ties to the community, Alexander is counting on this connection and increased name recognition to make a more substantial impact in the upcoming election against incumbent Republican Jeff Van Drew.

About Tim Alexander: Tim Alexander is a former Detective Captain of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office in Mays Landing, New Jersey. There he was in charge of the Criminal Investigation Section. As a young man, Tim was racially profiled by the police. That experience inspired Tim to become a police officer. Tim dedicated his career to improving the way law enforcement organizations interact with communities.  Focusing on projects that sought to provide alternative solutions to community problems and enhance public trust in local police. After retiring from law enforcement, Tim worked as a Major Trials Prosecutor for the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.

Tim eventually left government employment and went into private practice, where he handled civil rights cases.
