Tom Malinowski Endorses Jeff Beyer for Bedminster Township Committee

Jeff Beyer, a candidate running for Bedminster Township Committee, recently earned an endorsement from Congressman Tom Malinowski who currently represents the 7th Congressional District in New Jersey.

Congressman Malinowski, who formerly served as Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor in the Obama Administration, stated, “As a Lieutenant in the US Marine Corp in Vietnam, as a member of the Board of Governors for the Clarence Dillon Public Library, and as a concerned citizen who made wellness check-in calls throughout the community at the height of the pandemic, Jeff Beyer has continually demonstrated the kind of leadership the people of Bedminster deserve.”

“I am honored to have been endorsed by Congressman Malinowski whom I hold in high regard for his lengthy service to our country and our district” said Beyer.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, Beyer, Chairman of the Bedminster Democratic Committee, personally called on hundreds of Bedminster residents to check on their well-being and led volunteers to make over a 1,000 more wellness calls in the community. He also hosted a virtual town hall with Somerset County Freeholder Director Shanel Robinson and organized regular non-perishable donations to the Bedminster Pop-Up Food Pantry.

Beyer is a retired Marine Captain who served in the Vietnam War. He earned a BS from Rutgers University and an MBA from Fordham University before launching a successful international business in the architectural products industry. A 32-year resident of the town, Jeff and his wife Kathy raised their two sons in Bedminster who were educated in the public school system.

“Giving back to the community has always been important to me,” says Beyer, citing his involvement with the Boy Scouts of America and various non-profit boards. He currently serves as the Secretary of the Board of Governors at the Clarence Dillon Library after his appointment by Steve Parker, the former Republican mayor of Bedminster.

“On November 3rd, we face the most important election of our lifetimes” says Beyer. “Thankfully, increasing numbers of Americans are rejecting the divisiveness of the Trump administration and are instead embracing a more hopeful and inclusive future envisioned by Democrats. I want to bring that kind of hope and sense of community to all Bedminster residents while keeping our taxes low.”
