Trenton Law Director Bridges Statement Regarding Recent Frivolous Lawsuits Levied Against City of Trenton

This week the administration received complaints brought by former Housing and Economic Development (HED) Director Ben Delisle and former HED employee Tanzania Green. The administration vehemently denies these frivolous claims and very much looks forward to defending both actions. It is clear that the allegations made regarding our procurement and personnel decisions are completely meritless.

The City welcomes an exhaustive examination of our procurement practices including, but not limited to, the City’s legal obligation to take down properties deemed to create an imminent danger to residents. All such projects were carried out pursuant to relevant municipal and state law. Further, the administration fully intends on pursuing any and all legal remedies available against Mr. Delisle, Ms. Green, and their respective law firms for knowingly filing baseless claims.
