UNIONS, LOCAL GOVERNMENT MANAGEMENT & ELECTED OFFICIALS TO HOLD PRESS CONF ON DRASTIC IMPENDING HEALTHCARE PREMIUM HIKES
Participants Will Advocate To Resolve Problem And Protect Workers, Taxpayers, Towns & Counties
(TRENTON, NEW JERSEY) – This Monday, December 12th at 11 am, several local government unions, elected officials, the NJ League of Municipalities, NJ Association of Counties and NJ Conference of Mayors will jointly hold a virtual press conference regarding drastic pending increases to health insurance premiums poised to begin January 1st.
It is rare that unions and management are completely on the same page. However, this unprecedented coalition – representing both labor and management – has come together as one because the stakes are so high. These egregious healthcare premium hikes are completely unfair to workers, taxpayers, local municipalities, and counties. If things don’t change, workers will be harmed, and taxes will go up at the local level.
