United Airlines July Domestic Schedule

As states and municipalities begin to reopen, United Airlines is restoring non-stop service to places customers want to go. Whether visiting family, going on vacation, or conducting business, many customers have told us they are considering flying again. In response, United is reinstating flights at over 150 of its U.S and Canadian destinations, including the resumption of approximately 140 previously suspended non-stop routes. While overall capacity will continue to be significantly lower year-over-year due to the effects of COVID-19, July domestic capacity will be down 70% YoY, an improvement from June which was down 87% from 2019.

Highlights of United’s July schedule include:

  • Increased flight schedules to key business destinations like New York, Boston, Seattle, and Philadelphia, supporting the return of critical commercial and governmental travel
  • More options to leisure destinations where attractions and lodging are reopening in Florida, Las Vegas, and other wonderful getaways like Charleston, SC and Portland, ME
  • Added flights to National Park and outdoor leisure markets like Aspen, CO and Jackson Hole, WY where social distancing is a natural feature
  • Resumption of US-Canada transborder services to key destinations including Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, and Vancouver

At Newark specifically:

  • We have restored lie-flat product on our premium transcontinental flights to/from EWR-LAX and EWR – SFO (with limited exceptions)
  • The increase in destinations include:
    • Caribbean destinations such as Aguadilla, Aruba, Montego Bay, Nassau, Punta Cana, Santiago and Santo Domingo.
    • International service to include Dublin and Delhi (pending government approvals) and increasing Tokyo (NRT) to daily.
    • On the domestic side, notably we resume non-hub service to Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Diego and Seattle

To accommodate the resumption of services throughout the domestic network, United will be increasing the number of non-stop and connecting flight options at all seven of its U.S. hub airports particularly Denver, Chicago, and Houston.

United continues to make the health and safety of our customers and employees our top priority as new destinations are added back into the schedule. The United CleanPlusSM program includes Clorox and Cleveland Clinic to inform and guide United’s cleaning, safety and social distancing protocols, including things like touchless check-in for baggage at select locations, mandatory face coverings for crew and customers onboard our flights, and giving customers options when flights are more full.
