US Senate Candidate McCormick Endorses McKoy For Mayor

“By now, it is clear that the field of candidates for Mayor in Paterson has narrowed down to two choices, so voters can pick either Andre Sayegh or Bill McKoy for Mayor. Despite the signs and sound trucks, I do not believe there is a chance that Alex Mendez, Pedro Rodriguez, Mike Jackson or Alex Cruz will be mayor. Voters should know there are clear differences between Sayegh and McKoy, in their records on City Council and the prospects for what they will do after the election.

As someone who has earned a little celebrity as the only Democrat willing to stand up against US Senator Bob Menendez since the Obama administration indicted him for bribery and the US Senate Ethics Committee admonished him for breaking the law, I have learned a lot about corruption in New Jersey. The outsiders who are pouring money into Sayegh’s campaign and financing offensive mailings are part of the same corrupt Hudson County political machine that is behind my primary election opponent.

These dark money ‘super PAC’ mailings are secretly funded so you do not know if the money comes from organized crime family or foreign corporations, but Sayegh is going to owe a lot of political favors to those secret out of towners! After enduring Joey Torres and Marty Barnes, Paterson deserves honest leadership. You cannot rely on getting that from Andre Sayegh.

Bill McKoy has been serving the City of Paterson for more than two decades. He understands government and finance. He’s not afraid to make tough decisions. He cares about people even if they cannot come to a $1,000-per-ticket cocktail party.

Tomorrow, do the right thing and vote “6A” for William ‘Bill’ Mckoy!”
