UTCA STATEMENTS ON GUTIERREZ-SCACCETTI/HILLMANN

Wall – Utility and Transportation Contractors Association (UTCA) Executive Director David Rible and Chief Executive Officer Robert Briant issued the following statements today on Governor Murphy announcing the departure of Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti and the naming of Tim Hillmann as Chief of Staff:

UTCA Executive Director David Rible

“Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti is leaving a remarkable legacy behind. Her work as Chief of Staff – particularly on the Transportation Trust Fund – and as DOT Commissioner has been a gift to the State of New Jersey. We wish her the best. Tim Hillmann has big shoes to fill but is more than capable of creating his own amazing legacy. We look forward to working with him as we implement this next phase of the TTF as well as get Gateway moving.”

UTCA Chief Executive Officer Robert Briant

“I have worked with Diane in many capacities over the years and she has never disappointed. She was the best DOT Commissioner in the country and as Chief of Staff was able to navigate a new TTF plan through when some said it could not be done. Her expertise and determination will be sorely missed. We commend Governor Murphy for his selection of Tim Hillmann as the next Chief of Staff and, as always, our members stand ready, willing and able to assist the state in its infrastructure needs.”
